  • A good night's sleep and a refreshing spirit are extremely important when traveling. Surely you always want to be fresh and healthy to explore all the beautiful landscapes, right? The tips to sleep well while traveling below will help you!

Adjust your sleep right from... at home
This will help your body gradually get used to the rhythm of life in the place you are traveling to. With a trip scheduled in advance, the time and destination are certainly determined. Therefore, you just need to intentionally adjust your sleep right from home.

    Say “no” to electronic devices
Don't watch TV, computers, or phones one hour before bedtime. Instead, you can read a book, play chess or chat. The best way to fall asleep easily is to listen to soothing instrumental music.

    Wear comfortable clothes
You should choose soft, loose and comfortable clothes because you may have to sit for a long time in a tight space. When sleeping, our bodies need to relax and tight clothes make it difficult for blood to circulate, so sleep is affected.

    Eat and drink carefully
Do not eat foods that cause bloating and indigestion, making the body uncomfortable and making it difficult to sleep. It's best to eat snacks on the go, which will make it easier for you to get a better night's sleep.

    Sleep with close friends
During the trip, sometimes you will meet many new friends. But to have a good night's sleep, staying in the same room with close friends to be comfortable and talk together is one of the secrets to having a good night's sleep when traveling.

    Use a blindfold
Light is also an issue for people who have trouble sleeping. You can use a blindfold or use a scarf to block outside light. Thanks to the blindfold, you will easily forget all the surrounding influences to sleep better.

    Bring a thin blanket
The familiar scent and clean feeling when using my blanket will help you sleep easier, just like you are at home.

    Have fun to the fullest
Temporarily put all your worries aside to have fun. After a tiring and fun day, sleep will come faster than you think. And tomorrow, there will be many wonderful things waiting for you!

Take a cool bath under the bathtub
Before going to bed, spend a few minutes cooling off in the shower. This is the time for you to relax and wash away all the sweat and dust of a long day. Bring your favorite shower gel or shampoo to help you feel right at home.

    Inspect the furniture carefully
When preparing to go to bed, it's best to put your belongings away and don't forget to lock the doors and windows. You should also keep important items near the head of the bed or next to the bed for easy access.

    Drink enough water
When flying, the air filtration process will cause the body and skin to become dehydrated. During the flight, in addition to airline water, bring a large empty water bottle to fill and keep with you. This helps you avoid having to wake up in the middle of your sleep to find water to drink.

    Avoid alcohol and caffeine
Alcohol can disrupt your sleep and make you feel more exhausted in the morning. Using caffeine to stay awake during the day can make it difficult to sleep at night. Using chamomile tea, essential oils or a lavender mask will help relax your mind and is also the secret to good sleep when traveling.

    Meditation or Yoga

You can practice some gentle Yoga movements to relax your body and fall asleep faster. Another “tip” that can be applied is breathing exercises. Close your eyes, inhale deeply through your nose, hold for 5 to 10 seconds, then exhale through your mouth and repeat this process 5 times.

    • On the airplane

+ Choose a night flight to avoid disrupting your biological clock. Otherwise, book your flight for early evening so you can sleep as soon as you arrive.

+ Choose a seat near the window to lean on while sleeping and not disturb others.

+ You can choose business class or first class for more legroom.

    • On the train

+ To avoid being woken up by the ticket inspector, place your ticket in the slot or luggage compartment behind the back of the seat in front of you, or in a luggage tag holder and wear it around your neck.

+ Choose a sleeper car with a higher price.

    • In the car

+ Choosing a sleeper bus or a sleeper chair will help you sleep easier.

+ Pull the curtains, use window shades, and eye masks.

+ When the car stops, take the time to go to the bathroom and walk gently.
